How Fast Will I Make Progress?
The old adage remains true here: you get out of it what you put into it. With ECI we’ll do our part by employing superior English instructors and a customized learning environment. From there, your hard work, dedication and time spent studying and speaking the English language will greatly determine how fast you progress and how quickly your English fluency takes hold.
Can I Take a “Test Drive” Beforehand?
Since ECI teachers spend months of preparation readying their courses, you probably wouldn’t see the value of a “test drive” after simply attending one class. The beauty of learning a language is that you build on your skills and advance over time. However, we’re happy to consult with you over the phone to answer all your questions and we also offer an easy assessment test to ensure that you’re placed in the right language level from the start.
What Qualifications Do Your English Teachers Have?
Rest assured that our instructors are either Native English speakers or Native English proficient with deep immersion in the Anglophone world. These teachers have at least a Bachelor’s Degree, are TEFL certified and are trained to teach both business English and in an online setting, should you choose those options. At ECI we make sure that flexibility and dedication are top priorities for our English teachers.
Can I Choose My English Instructor?
At ECI we make it our business to fully cater to our students’ needs. If there’s a certain instructor you’ve heard good things about and would like to learn from, we’ll do our best to ensure you’re enrolled in his or her class.
Can I Change My English Instructor Once Classes Have Begun?
Should you not be fully satisfied with your English teacher or any other element of your classroom experience we’d be happy to find a suitable alternative for you.
Will I Be Awarded a Degree or Certificate Upon Completion?
After finishing your ECI program, you’ll receive a certificate of achievement that will highlight your completion of the course and your level of English proficiency.
How Many Students Will Be in My English Class?
You tell us! At ECI, you’re the boss when it comes to determining key aspects of your learning environment. Would you like to learn English in a one-on-one setting with a dedicated teacher? No problem! Prefer to take your English courses in the company of students in the same level? That works, too. Rest assured that even if you choose to learn in a classroom environment, ECI class sizes are small (6-10 students) and geared for fostering success.
How Often Should I Take English Lessons?
Naturally, you’re welcome to take your English lessons when it suits your schedule. That being said, we recommend taking two to three English classes per week for a minimum of 2 hours. Why? The more consecutive classes you tackle week after week, the closer you’ll come to English fluency! After all, learning the English language is all about building the right foundation.
